Vaibhav & Sheetal Mumbai : An Intimate Maharashtrian Wedding Ceremony

From the minimal jewellery and intricately woven silk shaalu, down to the elegant expressions on everyone’s faces, Sheetal and Vaibhav’s marriage was an affair with simplicity spelled out in every element.

Together, this couple held hands and completed every traditional maharashtrian wedding ritual including the thread ceremony. It includes family members of the bride and groom wrapping a thread around them seven times in preparation of the Saat Pheras, which signify togetherness for lifetimes to come. The bride wore traditional green glass bangles that represent a long, happy married life, and a chandrakor which speaks of beauty and elegance.
