The gravity defying upside-down chandelier cake and the capa green cocktails were all the exquisiteness Kirithiga and Gokul needed at their wedding reception held at Cinnamon Grand Hotel, Colombo. The large banquet hall had minimal décor and gorgeous gold-hued chandeliers that illuminated the entire space beautifully. Opting to have bubbles blown at them instead of confetti or flower petals is definitely going to be trendsetting we think!

Simplicity and sweetness were spread over every element at this couple’s wedding celebration. Whether it was the casual pre-wedding photoshoot where the laughter did not seem to end, the elegant reception or post-wedding photo session – subtle elegance with truck-loads of happiness was blatantly visible in each photograph clicked by the talented team at Yadhu Photography who had a keen eye for detail and photography skills that were downright brilliant.

What we specially loved was the attires both this bride and groom picked. Each had bouts of simplicity and understated grace; whether it was Kirithiga’s white cutwork dress or her coral and aqua saree embellished with crystals, textures and intricate stone work. Gokul kept it uber stylish too with his choice of a chequered shirt and waistcoat at the pre-wedding shoot and a grey suit and green tie done in the the Eldredge knot style. As opposed to the vast majority of tie knots, the Eldredge knot creates a tapered fishtail braid-like effect – an excellent, full proof way of leveling up your style quotient!
