Alok & Dimple Mumbai : This bride got hitched at Sahara Star, Mumbai and you will want to recreate her bridesmaid pictures!

Alok and Dimple, just got hitched in the most grand and fun-filled wedding at Sahara Star, Mumbai! From the bride entering the wedding with a makeshift sitar, sitting on a lotus to the best bride and bridesmaids pictures ever, this wedding has been full of style inspiration right from the beginning. Choosing their home city of Mumbai, the couple picked Sahara Star for it’s cool aired lawn and grandness. From a heavenly sangeet and engagement night to outdoor haldi and mehndi functions at Sahara Star, Mumbai the venue provided them with the atmosphere and look that suited the couple.

The Proposal

Dimple, the bride tells us, “We were introduced to each other via our parents but it never felt like an arranged marriage because we took our time in getting to know each other. We met for lunch on a rainy Saturday afternoon and spoke to each otehr for 8 hours! It never felt as if I’m meeting a stranger. The next thing i knew was that i was in love with him. Sure, we needed time to get to know each other and we did. At the end of it, we needed each other and the rest as they say is history”

From a story so entertaining, we didn’t expect the proposal to be any different! Alok, our groom says, ” It was on a Yatch. A Surprise at Sunset, with flowers, champagne and a Solitaire Ring! Difficult to say no to that”

Well, Alok seems to have cracked the code: a beautiful ring you can’t say no to!

Deciding the Venue

If you ask a couple where they want a wedding, they would most probably say Goa. Alok and Dimple however, decided to pay homage to the city they had made theirs, hosting the functions in Mumbai. Dimple revealed

“We both decided to get married in Mumbai to a place where we can call it our holy ground. Going through numerous of venues when we saw Sahara Star, Mumbai the 1st thing that came to our mind is how amazing their grand sapphire banquet was with chandeliers. Having their in-house garden right in the centre of the hotel was like a cherry on the cake. On the day, we didn’t feel like we were getting marred in May, thanks to their beautiful atmosphere”
