Planning a Post-Wedding Shoot? Take a Cue from this Filmmaker Duo! #TwoFilmers

The popularity of a pre-wedding shoot has increased tenfold in the last few years. But what happens when you are always behind the camera, beautifully capturing a couple’s love story? You barely get time for your own pre-wedding shoot! Wedding filmmakers Noopur and Anish, the successful duo behind Happy Flashbacks never got a chance to plan and carry out their own pre-wedding shoot. So, they decided to have a post wedding shoot, five years after they tied the knot! Noopur and Anish met each other in the summer of 2007. Noopur was pursuing journalism in Delhi around the same time. She auditioned for the role of an anchor for a documentary that was being shot by Anish. He was highly impressed by her writing skills and the rest as they say is history!

Anish and Noopur  are always busy capturing other couples and pay attention to detail. The couple’s story, styling and personal preferences are always taken into account. Noopur says, “This time around we planned a shoot for ourselves and just had to experiment with various looks! The bridal look was definitely on the charts. A little help from some amazing friends from the fashion world  made this shoot a success!”  They conducted this shoot at the gorgeous Picture Villa in Gurgaon.

 For the first look Noopur opted for a stunning ivory lehenga by Anushree Reddy. A contemporary take on embroidery and silhouettes, this minimal yet glamorous lehenga is an eyecatcher. One can hardly take their eyes off her exquisite jewellery. Her necklace is adorned with various polkis and jaal tabla and lotus motifs. Anish wore a classic ivory sherwani by Adorn His. He paired it with contrasting emerald necklace and a red silk pocket square.

I know I shouldn’t have favourites but between you and me, this look is my favourite! Noopur looks like a vision in the breathtaking layered red lehenga by Sulakshana Monga and the statement mogra nath. She spells a contemporary Indian bride perfectly! Anish’s ivory sherwani with motifs complements her red lehenga. Brownie points for adding the denim jacket!

For their third look the filmmakers wished to achieve a chic and stylish look. Noopur wore a gorgeous white gown by Eliza Jane Howell while Anish wore a quirky blazer with moustaches drawn all over it. Neat gelled hair, dapper and suave looks made the couple feel elated and radiant. Comfortable, lazy poses and some easy breezy photos made it all the more fun! Their makeup and hair were looked after by VS Makeovers. Noopur remained true to herself and chose soft, nude and subtle makeup for herself.

Noopur & Anish maintain that none of this would’ve been possible without their army of friends and the wonderful Happy Flashbacks team, who helped them from dusk to dawn! She says, “We planned this shoot to make memories for a lifetime. I am glad we went ahead with it! This is like a compensation for our missed pre wedding shoot- after all, it is never too late to create memories!”
